Position: Program Specialist
Department: Administrative Services
Hours: Part-Time, Non-exempt
Job Description: Under the general direction of the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator in harmony with the policies of the Library, and in conjunction with the activities of other service areas, the Program Specialist will coordinate operations involving the program and community engagement activities of the Morrisson-Reeves Library. The Program Specialist is responsible for researching, planning, and facilitating programs, in conjunction and collaboration with Information Services, Public Services and Youth Services. The Program Specialist is tasked with developing a library program and special event schedule that is responsive to the needs of the community and in support of the goals and objectives of the Morrisson-Reeves Library.
Position: Student Library Aide
Department: Youth Services
Hours: Part-time, 12 hours weekly
Job Description: Under the general direction of the Youth Services Department Manager, or assigned Supervisor, and in harmony with the policies of the Library, the Student Library Aide performs routine work in the Library such as shelving, maintaining books and other library resources including the toy collection, and assisting staff with various duties as assigned. The Library Student Aide will be required to work evenings and some weekends.
Department: Building Services
Hours:Part-Time, 25-28 hours weekly – must have day, evening and Saturday availability
Job Description: Under the general direction of the Human Resources Manager and in harmony with the policies of the Library, the Custodian performs general cleaning of the building and grounds, assists with grounds care, meeting room set-up, assembly and moving furniture and equipment, and provides assistance to staff and others as needed.
Position: Library Assistant
Department: Youth Services
Hours: Part-time, 24 hours weekly
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Tuesday 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Friday 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
Saturday – Rotation every 5 weeks
Job Description: Under the general direction of the Youth Services Manager, and in harmony with the policies of the Library, the Library Assistant will provide exceptional service to library patrons and the general public. While working at the service desk, in Youth Services and at the Boys and Girls Club Library, the Library Assistant will answer questions about the collection, provide reader’s advisory, assist with locating materials, and check library materials in and out for patrons. The Library Assistant will provide support to the Youth Services staff by assisting with program planning and preparation.
