Hey, aspiring writers and local wordsmiths! Ready to level up your craft and connect with other creatives? You’re in luck! Ivy Tech Community College Richmond and Morrisson-Reeves Library are teaming up to host a free, one-day writing conference just for you. This is anopportunity to sharpen your skills as a writer, find inspiration, and network with fellow authors and professionals right here in our community.
What to Expect
The conference is designed to inspire and equip writers of all skill levels. It’s happening on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ivy Tech’s Johnson Hall in Richmond. Attendees will get to participate in two different workshop sessions led by talented local authors and writing professionals. With topics ranging from screenwriting to poetry and even stand-up comedy, there’s something for everyone.

Public Reading Event
After the conference, keep the creative energy flowing! You’re invited to a public reading event at the Morrisson-Reeves Library on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, at 6 p.m. This is a great chance to share your work with the community in a welcoming and supportive environment.
