The Borrowing Details

1. Only patrons 18 and older with a valid Morrisson-Reeves Library (MRL) card may check out items from the Sharing Center collection. Expiration and/or accrued fines over $3.00 render a library card invalid.
2. Borrowers must read, understand, and sign the Lending Agreement and the Use Waiver in the presence of a library staff member to be registered to borrow from the Sharing Center.
3. Patrons may borrow 2 (two) Sharing Center items for a 7-day nonrenewable period.
4. Overdue fines are $1.00 per day. All items must be cleaned before returning. A $5.00 cleaning fee will be charged if returned items are not clean.
5. All items must be returned in the same condition they were issued, except for normal wear and tear.
6. Heavy items must be loaded, transported, and returned to their Library storage location by the borrower. No items should be returned in the drive-up book drop. Items can only be returned during normal business hours.
7. The borrower agrees to accept the professional library staff’s assessment of the returned item’s condition and to pay fair restitution for any damage, dirtiness, or loss of parts.
8. The borrower will be charged the full replacement cost for any items lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear. The replacement cost is available upon request.
9. The borrower is solely responsible for the item and its components checked out on their library card.
10. The borrower is responsible for all reasonable costs of collection and attorney’s fees incurred by MRL in the enforcement of this Lending Agreement.
