Video Games Are Coming to MRL!

Get your controllers ready! Morrisson-Reeves Library is officially launching the brand-new MRL Video Game Collection. Starting March 20th, you will be able to browse and check out from a selection of 120 video games from Morrisson-Reeves Library.

What You Need to Know:

• The Consoles: We are launching with a wide variety of titles for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
• The Games: Choose from family favorites, sports, and massive open-world adventures. You’ll find hits like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Minecraft, Sonic Superstars, NBA 2K26, and Hogwarts Legacy.
• Checkout Rules: Games can be checked out for 14 days. If you need more time to beat that final boss, you can renew your game once for an additional 14 days.

Why We Are Adding Games:

Since MRL joined the Evergreen Indiana Consortium, we noticed something amazing: you love to game. Our patrons have been consistently requesting and checking out video games from our partner libraries across the state. You sent a clear message that you wanted faster, easier access to games right here at home, and we listened!

“We built this collection in response to clear community enthusiasm for video games,” said Dena Little, Library Director. “Just like books and movies, video games are a valuable form of storytelling, learning, and enrichment. They also promote new forms of literacy and create opportunities for social connection, making this collection a wonderful way to support our patrons.”
