Borrowing Library Materials

The maximum number of items that may be borrowed on a card is 30.

There are specific limits on special collection items.

2 Week Loan On:

• Adult Magazines
• Adult New Books
• Games
• Hotspots
• Children’s Featured Holiday Books
• DVDs with multiple discs and a maximum of 2 DVDs may be series or box sets

1 Week Loan On:

• Single Disc DVDs
• Sharing Center Items
• Multimedia Projector

We offer a Vankyo #V600 multimedia projector for you to checkout and take home. It offers 1080p Full HD resolution and is compatible with memory cards, TV Stick, HDMI, VGA, USB, Xbox, iPhone and Android devices. It checks out with a remote control, carrying bag, power cord and instruction manuals.

Deposit: No deposit is needed.
Checkout: 7 day checkout with no renewal option. This item is holdable.
Fees and costs: $250 replacement fee if the item is lost or damaged.

Returning Materials

For your convenience, you may return most materials in the drive-up book deposit, located in the south parking lot. Items placed in the Book Return will be held for 24 – 48 hours prior to checking them in.

Please do not return the following items in the drive-up, book return:

• Hot Spots
• Sharing Center Items
• Computers
• Magazines
• Toys
• Puzzles
• Games

Disc Repairs – Remove scratches and possibly make your discs play as good as new.

MRL can repair CDs, DVDs and Game Discs for a nominal fee. Ask staff for further details.

Renewing Material

As a courtesy, MRL automatically renews the patron’s materials unless there is a hold on the item, the item is not renewable, or the maximum renewals were reached.

You may renew material in person, online through your library account, or by phone. Please have your library card in hand when performing this type of transaction.

These items may not be renewed:

• Items on Hold for another borrower
• Sharing Center Items
• Items previously renewed more than twice
• Featured 2-week current holiday books
• Items overdue more than 28 days

The following items may be renewed up to 2 additional loan periods:

• 4-Week Books
• Magazines
• Sound Recordings
• Pamphlets
• College Catalogs
• Compact Discs
• Government Docs
• All Children’s Materials (except featured 2 week current holiday books)
