By the Numbers: How Morrisson-Reeves Library Served Our Community in 2024

Wow, what a year it’s been at Morrisson-Reeves Library! We’ve been busy connecting our community with resources, programs, and technology. The numbers tell a pretty exciting story.

Over 13,500 of you are registered library users, and you visited us nearly 118,000 times! That’s a lot of foot traffic and a testament to the library’s vital role in our community.  We connected with you through over 1,000 programs, and we’re especially thrilled to see so many young patrons engaging with us, with over 6,600 youth attending our programs!

Beyond books, we’re a hub for learning and connection. Our public computers and robust Wi-Fi network supported over 96,000 sessions, demonstrating the library’s crucial role in bridging the digital divide. And speaking of connections, our meeting rooms were booked over 1,650 times by community groups – a true community gathering space! Our Print from Anywhere service also proved popular, with nearly 69,000 pages printed by patrons.

Of course, books remain at the heart of what we do. You checked out over 185,000 physical items, including almost 70,000 children’s books! And let’s not forget our thriving digital collection, with over 93,000 ebooks, e-audiobooks, and e-videos circulated.

Our dedicated staff is here to support your learning and information needs, answering over 13,000 reference questions. And for those who enjoy a little creativity at home, our pick-up kits were a hit, with over 3,600 distributed!
