Morrisson-Reeves Library 2025 Annual Report
What does a library look like in motion? In 2025, it looked like a book truck traveling across Wayne County, a 30% jump in Instagram engagement, and a community coming together to dream up a renovated future.
We are thrilled to share the Morrisson-Reeves Library 2025 Annual Report. It was a year of “Infinite Opportunities,” where we balanced the tradition of storytelling with the cutting edge of digital access.

Breaking Down Barriers
We know that not everyone can make it to 80 N 6th St. That’s why 2025 was the year we took the library to you.
- The MRL Express: Our brand-new book truck (launched late 2025!) is officially on the road, bringing books and technology to 11 surrounding townships.
- The Engagement Team: Our staff participated in 49 off-site events, registering nearly 100 new patrons in the field.
- Technology on the Move: With new grant-funded laptops and an interactive smart board, the library is now a high-tech hub for local remote workers and community groups.
- Data-driven Decision Making: We rely on concrete metrics to guide our library operations. By tracking library usage, program attendance, and community feedback, we ensure our time and budget are aligned with what our patrons need.
Looking Toward the Future
While we celebrate these wins, we are also planning for the long-term health of our historic building. In 2025, we completed a Comprehensive Building Masterplan fueled by feedback from over 36,000 residents.
As Director Dena Little noted in her message, legislation like Senate Enrolled Act 1 (SEA 1) creates new financial hurdles for Indiana libraries. However, our commitment to being a “Resource Hub” remains unshakable. We are using data-driven decision-making to ensure every $1 of tax revenue received returns $5 in direct value to our community.
“Morrisson-Reeves Library belongs to the community, and its Board and staff serve as stewards of this valuable public resource.” — Jennifer Lewis, Board President
