Election Dates 2022
October 27 Mail-in (absentee) ballot applications accepted
October 11 – Last day to register to vote
No later than noon on Nov. 8 – Submit your mail-in (absentee) ballot
October 31 Early in-person voting begins
November 8 Mail-in (absentee) ballot must be postmarked by the day before the election to count. Due to the high volume of ballots, mail these in early to ensure your ballot makes it to the office on time.
November 8, Election day. Vote in person.

What You Need To Register To Vote:

- Have a valid Indiana Driver’s License or Indiana State Identification Card.
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be at least 18 years old on or before the next general, municipal or special election. (A 17-year-old may register and vote in the primary election if the voter turns 18 on or before the next general or municipal election.)
- Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 DAYS before the next general, municipal, or special election.
- Not currently imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.
- Yes! You can register and vote if you were previously incarcerated or are on parole or probation, in home detention, in jail awaiting trial or in a community correction program. For more information visit ACLU Indiana

Voting Locations
Mail-in ballot must be postmarked by the day before the election in order to be counted. You can also return your absentee ballot in person to your county board of elections before the close of the polls at on Election Day.

WHAT IS A “VOTE CENTER”?
A vote center gives the voter more flexibility because the eligible voter chooses which location works best for them to cast their ballot in the county.
