Voter Information

Election Dates

Now – October 31 Mail-in (absentee) ballot applications accepted

October 5 Last day to register

October 6 – October 30 Submit your mail-in (absentee) ballot

October 6 Early in-person voting begins

November 2 Mail-in (absentee) ballot must be postmarked by the day before election to count. Due to the high volume of ballots, mail these in early to assure your ballot makes it to the office on time.

November 3 Election day. Vote in person.



Indiana Voter Information


What You Need To Register To Vote:

      • Have a valid Indiana Driver’s License or Indiana State Identification Card.
      • Be a citizen of the United States.
      • Be at least 18 years old on or before the next general, municipal or special election. (A 17-year-old may register and vote in the primary election if the voter turns 18 on or before the next general or municipal election.)
      • Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 DAYS before the next general, municipal, or special election.
      • Not currently imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.
      • Yes! You can register and vote if you were previously incarcerated or are on parole or probation, in home detention, in jail awaiting trial or in a community correction program. For more information visit ACLU Indiana

Voting Information During Covid-19 Protocols

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is recommended that voters put their safety first and follow CDC recommendations to wear a face mask when in public. We strongly encourage all voters who vote in-person, whether during early voting or on Election Day, to wear a face mask when entering a Vote Center to cast your ballot.

Voting Locations

Mail-in ballot must be postmarked by the day before the election in order to be counted. You can also return your absentee ballot in person to your county board of elections before the close of the polls at on Election Day.

In-Person Absentee Voting (Sometimes Called Early Voting)
Visit the Voter Registration Office located in Court House on second floor to cast your ballot.

Starting October 6th:  Monday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 pm and Tuesday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Saturdays – these dates only:  October 24th and October 31st 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Last Day is November 2nd 8:30 – noon

A vote center gives the voter more flexibility because the eligible voter chooses which location works best for them to cast their ballot in the county.
