Libraries are known as the original Community Sharing Center, full of treasures and spectacular finds that can all be borrowed with a library card. Morrisson-Reeves Library (MRL) is expanding its collection with a Community Sharing Center where patrons can borrow the truly unexpected.
How often do you need a crockpot, yard games, tools, or a themed cake pan? Have you bought or borrowed them from a friend or neighbor?
With your Morrisson-Reeves Library card, you can access much more than books, movies, games, and streaming services! A collection of useful household items is available to library cardholders and can be checked out for 7 days. Borrow handy but rarely used items or try them before buying. We have special themed cake pans for your next birthday party, cookie cutters, yard games, a drink cooler, and chafing pans. You can even gaze at the stars with our telescope. Read all about the new collection of items at MRLinfo.org/sharing-center.
Patrons 18 and older with a valid MRL card may check out up to two items from the Sharing Center collection. Items are due back within 7 days.
“This new Sharing Center is a great opportunity for the library to help those we serve in exciting new ways. MRL is always working to improve the lives of our patrons. Often that means books or a program about local history. And, it turns out that sometimes it means helping with a special birthday cake or giving folks a better view of the stars. Your library is here to help make those connections.” Technical Services Manager Sarah Morey says.
